Howdy! The missus and I have a weeks vacation in October and are looking for fishing and camping suggestions. We have a 14' Lund and prefer to chase trout or kokanee. We are seasoned campers and not afraid of rain but, dry weather is more comfy. Thanks for your input!

Where are you located and how far are you willing to travel?

South King County. Travel is not an issue.

We would head for LK Chelan, stay at the resort in Manson and drive across the street to launch, free overnight and good food.power is available at some of the spots, all on blacktop but very dueable.............

The state park on the opposite shore at Chelan is also nice. They have a nice launch and lots of moorage space. You could also try Banks Lake state park on Steamboat Rock. Banks isnt really a koke or trout lake though. More walleye and bass, but you can easily trailer the boat to Roosevelt which is great for trout and kokes - or try one of the many parks on Roosevelt.
Id try looking through the reports sections for lakes that have good koke and trout reports and then see what parks are near by. You can also look in the camping section in the forums and see what people recommend or dont.

Couple days at Jameson lake would be nice. Some real Lunkers in there. Nice campground on south end lake. Desert setting.

Decision has been made! We are heading to Chelan. Have never fished there so the excitement level is high. One problem that needs input though. We have no downriggers. How much of a problem does this pose? And any tips on good spots on the lake to fish would be more than welcome. Thanks!
