I'm not hitting the derby but I'd love any tips folks have for catching these things in Entiat. We go over to Lincoln Rock every year and it would be fun to do my part to save the smolts! (I'm hoping that folks don't care too much about giving out secret locations for pikeminnow)

Re: Lake Entiat Northern Pikeminnow Derby
Here is the info on the derby . I have never fished this lake or for Pikeminnow . Sounds like a good weekend trip to camp and fish.
EAST WENATCHEE — Now’s your chance to save some baby salmon, win big prizes and have fun fishing for the dastardly Pikeminnow, a gobbler of precious smolt.
The East Wenatchee Rotary Club’s 23rd Annual Pikeminnow Derby, which encourages fishing fans to hook as many of the predators as possible, will be held soon on the Columbia River between Wells Dam and Rock Island Dam.
The weekend derby will launch at 6 p.m. June 19 and run continuously to 11:30 a.m. June 21, when the final weigh-in will be held. Anglers may fish round-the-clock to ensure a maximum catch.
Derby participants will compete in three weigh-in categories to be eligible for prize drawings. Eligibility is based on total weight of fish caught, with 10 pounds of fish required to be eligible for the largest prizes. Columbia River Pikeminnows weigh from around half a pound to 2 pounds or larger.
Prizes in this year’s Pikeminnow Derby include a fishing boat, motor and trailer; two outboard motors; and a wide variety of fishing gear.
The event is sponsored by the Rotary Club, Bob Feil’s Boats & Motors, Hooked on Toys, Bi-Mart, Mack’s Lure, Weinstein Beverage Co. and the Chelan and Douglas county PUDs.
Entry tickets are $20 for adults and free for kids under age 14 who fish with a registered adult. Tickets and registration are available at Bi-Mart, Bob Feil’s and Hooked on Toys. Proceeds benefit Rotary’s charities and community projects.
The Northern Pikeminnow is known as a voracious predator of millions of Columbia River salmon and steelhead smolt each year. The Bonneville Power Administration and state wildlife agencies in Washington and Oregon have established sports-reward programs to pay a bounty — $5 to $8 — for every pikeminnow over 9 inches caught by anglers.
For more info on the derby, call Bob Feil’s Boats & Motors, 884-3558; Hooked on Toys, 663-0740; or Bi-Mart, 884-1141.
