Riffe Lake and Swoffard Pond

I am going to be going out to Swoffard Pond tomorrow morning with a boat for the very first time. I used to fish it from shore many years ago when you could came just off shore. I am looking if anyone has any advice they could give my friends and I about fishing it for Bass and for those Channel Catfish. ... We will also be switching over to Rife Lake I have had a boat there a few times and done pretty well. Advice for Bass this time of year would be super helpful as well. Thanks !!!
