Lake Tapps

Post by topdawg47 » Mon Jul 04, 2011 12:34 am

I just came from Lake Tapps today, fishing from my pontoon.

Have read reports of various species in the lake - smallies, lg mth, perch, rock bass, tiger muskie, crappie, even trout.

Are there any other type of species present in the lake?

Also, does anyone have tips, pointers, locations where I could possibly get into some Lake Tapps Crappie action?

Any help is appreciated...

I will be fishing Tapps a lot more since I live in the area now & so close by...

All I have is a pontoon though...

Thanks
Go Huskies!

I've fished it many times from my float tube. Have caught tiger muskies, smallies, a few crappie, rock bass, one largemouth, and a carp. I just launch at the county park, cruise across wherever and fish the docks and points with grubs, rattle traps, and crankbaits. Just keep casting or dragging and you will hook up. The bridge area leading to Tapps Island can be very good at times. Good luck!
