Sounds good. I know I'm not winning but really curious to see who gets it. A ton of awesome pics. I enjoyed browsing them.

I am sure impressed by this collection! You judges have your work cut out for you!!

I missed the cutoff trying to track this one down, but here's a picture from a lake we hiked float tubes into above Bridal Falls off Stevens Pass. I believe the lake is called "Lake Serene", but I could be wrong. I stumbled upon this heavenly scene and got lucky considering I was using a lightweight $10 instamatic camera! It was a miracle I was able to capture the light on the moss, the reflection of the snow on the water and the transparency of the water considering my chest was heaving so hard after packing in all our cr@p!

Thanks for sharing, everyone!Image

As it turns out, it looks like we might have to do more then just a final 9. Like a final 16 or something. Two different polls with 8 entries a piece, and then when the top 4 from each poll are identified, we have one final one with 8 FINAL pictures. It is a bit confusing, but since we got some many excellent pictures, and there is really difficult to keep a bunch of great pictures out, we figured it just wouldn't be fair to limit it to 9. It's literally a toss up between 20-25 great pictures and we want to narrow it down, but give all the best pictures a fair chance to win it all.
Hopefully by tonight we can have it narrowed down.

We are in the process of figuring out the two groups for voting.
What will happen (since we recieved so many great pictures) is that we will have a final 16. We will have two different polls going on at the same time and then after a few days/weeks of standing, we will take the top 4 from each and square them off to find the final winner. We are just working on getting the two groups straightened out. We are trying to get the top 8 split up for fairness reasons. Look for the voting to start within the next 48 hours.

Marc, I will need your help setting up the polls so they can include the pictures...

It is complete. I will work with a mod tomorrow to get a poll setup and ready for you all to begin the voting process. It took a lot of time but it should be a fun voting process

Well guys, I hope I'm not too late. It's been a while since I've been on here. The last five months or so have been crazy beyond belief!!!! But, even if I'm too late for this submission, I hope y'all enjoy it. The first is a black and white taken on the oregon coast, and the second was taken on a charter boat in Hawaii (unfortunately, it was not a fishing charter :shaking:)

Beerman: Great to have you back. Been quite a while since you've been on. For all the long time regulars here, you gotta remember the guy...Spring/summer last year he was quite an active member...

Well guys, it's all been figured out. The top 16 have been named, and are available for your vote in the two voting threads Marc has put together (thanks Marc, it's frustrating that we can't make the polls, only mods have that power)

fishnislife:Thanks for doing this with me. Having a second eye to pick out the pictures and select a final group was much needed. Your creative ideas were also quite handy! Thanks bro.

The rest of WL.com members: It's all up to you know. Make sure to vote in BOTH polls. One vote each. Thanks.

Here's what we are going to do regarding the two voting polls. They will run for 2 weeks. Then after that, we will take the 4 with the most votes from each poll and then run ONE MORE poll so they can all face off so we can crown the winner...

Guys/gals: Thank you VERY MUCH for your submissions to this contest. It was simply not possible to choose all of them, I wish we could, but we had to make some cuts, and well, obviously some had to get the scissors. But all the pictures were FANTASTIC and your submissions made this event possible. Thanks everyone.
