Post by spokey9 » Wed Jul 08, 2009 5:12 am

I just heard that there were crappie in this lake, does anybody know where to look for'em and what color jigs are best. Been fishin this lake for years mostly for bass and perch and never seen crappie. I dont go 2 harts lake no more for the crappie cuz the lady running the resort has turn into a nazi, so im tryin to find a new place in pierce to fish these lil buggers.
Fishing relaxes me. It's like yoga, except i still get to kill something.

I was recently there with tommytitan08, the launch was getting busy so I motioned to tommy to go over to the resort dock and I'll pick him up in my boat there. Well, after he parked the trailer, he went to the dock. She came out like a banshee and said he couldn't do that due to insurance?? #-o Tommy even offered to pay the $5 so he could fish off the dock, she stood there the entire time while tommy had to walk back to the launch. With that said, the crappie in Harts are small, they used to be a lot bigger. . There are a couple lakes on Ft Lewis that have some big crappie, I think the lake I fished when I was younger was called Lost lake, but not sure, but the crappie in there we very nice sized ones. I have caught some crappie in Kapowasin and Silver lake too. Hope this helps.

Last time i fished off the dock with my cousin she came down with her old man and commenced to accuse me off leaving trash all over her dock (pop cans, empty cigarette packs, etc.) I have fished that lake from the resort since before she owned it and never had been treated like that. She didn't wanna believe me even though i smoke camel menthols and she found some blue pack. A couple of the people i know pretty well out there informed me that she's has a directional microphone to listen to people on her dock and has thrown people off the dock at night for having conversations that she didn't approve of.

Thanks jens, im think im gonna try kapowsin this weekend. Any hot colors to use?

Since a couple of people came forward with thier stories, then there must be some truth on what the original poster said. I would probably would use the term bad customer service though. I might just have to cross this lake off of my lakes to fish list. Thanks for the tip Jens. I probably won't make the drive there for small crappies. I really wanted to catch the channel catfish from Harts. One of the old reports for Harts Lake said that there were a lot of pictures of large catfish posted inside the lady's resort.

Any one have any money? The resort was for sale. Someone could change the customer service.
Look for Wannafish A Lure on FaceBook
He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.

A dad from my son's baseball team lives near Harts, and has shown me some of pics of the monsters he has caught, they are in there. He said he uses nightcrawlers near the lillys. We tried that, but no luck that day for them. I wouldn't say don't go to Harts, but just be aware of that lady. The Crappie we did catch, small however, still were fun to catch. I think if I would have used a different approach to the Crappie, I might have caught the bigger ones I was used to catch when I was younger.. :thumright

Could be..... It's worth a years net income plus the property value. There is no blue sky in a business like that.
