Post by Stacie Kelsey » Fri Aug 23, 2013 8:57 am

The following information is for southwest Washington fishing opportunities for the weekend of August 23-25, 2013

Hot Spots!
Merwin Reservoir - Kokanee fishing continues to be hot with regular limits. The big rainbows are also continuing to be caught - it appears mostly down by the dam.

Council Lake, Takhlakh and Goose are still great high lake spots for trout. All continue to be producing nice fish. The bugs are still at it though!

Kress Lake in Cowlitz County - channel cats are biting! Also some nice panfish being caught.

Vancouver Lake in Clark County - channel cats are making an appearance. Most are being caught on the park side (west side of the lake).
