Chapman Lake

Is there any word on the ownership/management/access issues for Chapman Lake,Spokane County.Will this lake open this year?Will there be boat rentals?Will the speed limit still be 5mph, http://washingtonlakes.com/forum/postin ... e=post&f=2#" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;?

insert in the paper said it wont be open this year.

The lake will be open, but resort access apparently will not be.

right the lake will be open but the resort is the only way that i know of to access the lake...

There is state land on the south side of the lake and you could hike in, but then what to do when you get there. Unless you pack a float tube, you are pretty much limited to fishing from shore and a lot of it is private ground. Real unfortunate deal with the only "public" access being owned by private parties. Chapman was on the 2012 WDFW stocking list and slated to have received 100,000 kokanee fry last May/June too. Can't help but wonder whether that ever happened. ](*,)
