Kettle Falls Walleye

Post by aaron42ash » Wed Mar 25, 2009 9:44 am

Heading up to Kettle tomorrow to try for some 'eyes, but again I have no idea where to try as I have never been there before. I have read many reports on this area here, and on northwestwalleye.com, and most people seem to have some results up there. A few times I have heard about fishing "the flats," which sounds great and all, but I have no idea where the flats are. Anyone point me in the right direction here? Or should I hit up the mouth of the river up there? I'm looking for a consistent 20-50 feet of water to let some crawler harnesses and jigs down in. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

You lucky dog.. I've been foaming at the mouth for a walleye trip.
Might send a PM over to Eustace..he was fishing here recently for some eyes.
If time permits,I might have to head down to the Columbia this weekend:-$
Good luck and post a report when you get the time.

Well, If I had read a post on NWW about fishing Kettle falls, I would ask the guy that reported it rather than go to another website. I'm sure he/they will be of help.
Good Luck!

I am confused. I think I was supposed to catch fish.... Saw one boat with 2 in 6 hours of work. Okay I guess. The midwest ruined me. The walleye fishing was always a copious experience. I am all backwards and can't fish for them here. I can catch the bass, the crappie, the browns, but not the walleye. I swear I'm doing everything the same as everyone else, but there is some imprecate force out to stop me from catching these buggers. Maybe with warmer temps and a different venue I will find a different result. Maybe.

Sad day for the Zags...

Aaron I feel your anguish!! Caught one dink thursday on the arm. I swear I marked 4 fish all day.
Fish and men are alike. They both get in trouble when they open their mouth!!

Sorry to hear that aaron...Just keep at 'em. Just think of it as your overdue and you
will be rewarded nicely.
I've got the walleye itch bad but I've been out of the game for awhile and I think I'll
hook up with a guide on the Columbia.
