Ponds by Mesa?

Post by jbball50 » Thu Nov 07, 2013 8:56 am

I was just wondering if anyone has fished the surrounding ponds around Mesa. I just noticed there's 6 or 7 ponds around that area and I'm probably going to check out a couple of them this weekend just to see what they look like and fish them next spring while I head up to Moses Lake to fish.

Years ago some had mixed spiny ray, and a couple had planted trout. They were good for numbers, but I never got much for size. Of course being from Yakima, I usually fished the bigger waters. My first float tube fishing was just south of Scootney, about 45 years ago. Camp Lake, I think? Had trout then.

I fished Mesa Lake several years ago. Overview and photos on Lake Index.
