check out: http://store.fishcreekspinners.com/servlet/StoreFront

They are a sponsor to this website. This place makes very well made spinners. Better quality wire than a lot of what you find mass produced in the stores. I also like the Vibrax spinners.

Also, when I was a kid you could find these spinners: http://thefishicaught.com/gallery/main. ... o+0060.jpg

It came without the hootchie skirt, and they called it a Bolo, made by Les Davis. That was the number spinner for me growing up.

I've got a ton of trout spinners, but if I lost em all this would be my starter kit.

Rooster Tail - 1/8oz in yellow, orange, green & black (both silver & brass blades if I can find em)
Blue fox Vibrex - #1 & #2 with green & chartreuse bells (the green in both black & silver blade)
Panther Martin - 1/8oz black on black (black blade/black body), rainbow, & brown trout

All of these are small, but I use 4# Fireline on an ultralight setup so I can cast em pretty far.

Another thing I have learned - when I buy em, I try to get two of everything because it sucks when you finally find what is working and turn around and lose it!
I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant, and not nearly so much fun. ~ John Volker

Good advice to buy pairs.

No surprise on my vote , 1/8oz Red and Orange Armadillo :fish: , then 1/8oz Black Armadillo :fish: .

My own. Basically a Wedding Ring type using fire polished AB Czech glass beads, a rondelle spacer bead (wedding ring), and various #3 spinner blades on a .024 or .031 SS wire shaft or 10# Stren leader.

As far as spinners goes, I always start out with a 1/8oz Black Rooster Tail w/ a Silver Blade. If that isn't doing it, I'll try a Mepps Aglia Black Fury also in 1/8oz, w/ the orange or yellow dotted blade. After those two, it's a toss up between a Blue Fox Vibrax or a Panther Martin.

My favorite trout spinner would be wordens 1/16 oz black w/red hooks,I always bend the blade a little bit to slow down my retrieve and it goes a lot slower than w/out bending the blades.Steel wool is a must when owning spinners, shinging up the blades like new will increase hookups!:money:
