Here are some options for you:

1. Check the reports of lakes in Pierce County on this website
2. Go to the Tacoma News Tribune Website. They include fishing reports which include trout fishing.
http://www.thenewstribune.com/adventure/fishing/
3. Be more specific when asking your question. Are you going to be fishing from a dock, pontoon, float tube or boat? Do you plan to use lures such as spinners or power bait? Then someone on here can help you out.

Sorry to hear you are getting frusturated. Many times I find that I am catching many more trout than everyone else that I am with. Doesnt matter if I am on a boat or dock. We can even be using the same bait. I believe it has to do to the fact that my leader lengths are much longer than theirs. Usually between 2-3 feet. I don't know when I made that simple change, sometime when I was a kid. I mention this because it has worked in every lake that I have fished in here in Pierce county. Just a thought. It seems like the hot thing right now are Gulp Power eggs. Remember, Hatchery fish tend to go for artificial bait an the larger trout (Holdovers and Natives) go for the natural stuff.

I would second spokey9,if you have a bigger boat American lake is great, there are also a couple of decent places to fish from shore.Spanaway is a great trout lake so long as you are ready to leave by 11 am when the spanish armada starts showing up.If shore bound then try Bradly.Dont read too much into the news tribune fishing reports. There have been a lot of times were I fished say... Spanaway both sat and sun and saw no fish caught and the Tribune will have it as a great day fishing.Same is true for Silver,Alder,Mineral(lewis county),Ohop,Kapowsin,Offut(thurston county). As far as I am concerned the only truthfull fishing reports come from the owners of Rainbow Resort on Tanwax lake.Time and again Ive actaully seen them admit fishing was slow when it really was slow.

Ur right Goneshootin, ive called up rainbow resort a few times and was basically told dont bother. There are some nice fish in there though. Overcast days are the best for me out at tanwax.
