does anyone know any lakes on the west side of the mountains with brook brown or tiger trout? thanks.

Not that this is going to help you, but I know of some on the East Side. For Browns, Wenas Lake is the "supposed" hot spot. It is located about twenty miles from Yakima. Until this year, they had a fishing derby every year their for the biggest fish. Some lunker browns have been taken out of there. For Brooks, there are quite a few in Dog Lake, at the top of White Pass (right on the edge of eastside/ westside).

For browns on the westside of the mountain there is Cady Lake in Mason County.But it is Fly fish only catch and release and barbless hooks.That is the only one I know of.I hope this helps.

Tiger trout I have no idea about.
There is a healthy Brook trout population at Sandy Shore lake on the Olympic Pen. And Some of the lakes nearby. I know there is several more but not sure where.

A lot of the higher elevation lakes on the west side have brookies in them but most require a decent hike to get to.

It may be a little farther but Mineral lake in Lewis county has browns.There were over 7000 stocked last year.

Just curious,but roughly,where are you located? Offut and Sandy Shore are spread out a little ways. I'll be at Sandy Shore in a few weeks and let 'ya know how the bite is.

i live near enumclaw those were just the nearest lakes mentioned but yeah they are still pretty far away

No worries, Offut would probably be a little over an hour and Sandy Shore about 3 hours. I recommend Sandy Shore if you have the time. Great fishing and a beautiful lake...kind of my secret spot but doesn't really matter if I post it. Most won't put in the time and even if they did,I don't mind sharring. Its a great place. I'll be up here very soon and let 'ya know whats biting.

Rainbows are definitely the most frequently stocked trout (or fish for that matter) in WA state. But there are still some brown and brooks to be had.

With brooks think high elevation and with browns think shallow lakes. But this isnt always the case.

Offut lake gets smolt plants, and Mineral gets a good amount of catcables. I know a lake down south gets a bunch of catchable browns, I want to say klineline but I could be wrong. Alice lake I have heard has both browns and brookies, but I cant say for sure. A lot of the alpine lakes around snoqualmie have brookies and some have browns. Kechlus at the top of snoqualmie has browns and brookies, but not very many. The upper green river lakes (cowlitz county) have browns and brookies in them. The Mt. Rainier national Forrest has a bunch of small hike in lakes that have just about every trout WA state has to offer. Kind of slow fishing though.

Quite a ways north of you at Cranberry Lake there are very large carryover browns and last year several thousand browns were planted. The lake gets little pressure so it's a great fishery. Just in case you are ever up north.

You are right about Klineline, also Lacamas, Horseshoe, Kress, Sacajawea, Carlisle, etc.

There are a lot of lakes in Region 5 that get browns and a few that get brook trout plants most all get rainbows.

Your best bet is to go to the link at the top of this page under "Links" click on "WDFW Fsh Plants Reports" and find the region that you live in or want to travel to and check out the latest plants...hope this helps.

Mineral and Silver for browns. Im talking about Silver Lake that is off of Hwy 7 (pacific hwy) that goes from Spanaway to Mt Rainier.
