I fished last night and last year around this time i could stratch out a limit in 3-4 hours no problem, just troll around a bam, bam, bam.

Not so much this year, got 3 fish for about 3 hours work. Kinda nervous for the derby

Checking the weather for saturday calls for wind and wind anywere from 9-12 mph with 20mph gusts.... lovely!

Ive always struggled with the evening bite. I think the weather has been a factor this time around for sure. Im hopeful I can fish the derby but not looking good in getting a baby sister. Might have to make the awards to meet and greet fellow W lakers. Good luck all.

I'll be stopping by Three Rivers tomorrow to pick up another ticket for my dad. That makes a boat of three, and a really fun day. I'm super excited... re-organizing my tackle, and just picked up a bunch of new Dick Nite Dodgers and Kokanee DNA fresh for the derby! :)

Wind, lots of boats and no fish. Sign me up, I like a challenge! As far as getting ready to go, work has been insane since our return from Chelan. I'm not sure when I'm going to be able to fine tune our Lake Stevens assault plan and get the gear ready. Normally I would pre-fish but this year it's not happening so the derby will definitely test our boats ability to catch fish. Good luck to all our fellow derbyites and I look forward to meeting everyone.

I'm there for sure! I'll be the one with a the blue shark on the bow of my Freedrifter. The blue sharks are a tribute to Tod (Iceshark) who lost his battle with cancer. Good luck everyone!

My dad decided he wants to put the boat in and give her a try. We havent fished for them in a few years so hopefully a little luck will be on our side.
Good luck out there everyone!

I did this Derby in the first year. Me and my buddy in a 8' Livingston with a older 8.5 Honda. We got out early and the boat was so heavy with all the gear gas and motor (Me also). We sank a Livingston. Had to row, bale, and swim to the boat launch.

I'll have one on the bow of my little green Willie. Going to be sad not having iceshark around on Saturday, but it will be very cool to see all the inflatable sharks and Hawaiian shirts!

And the winners ARE?
Look for Wannafish A Lure on FaceBook
He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.

1st went 1.68, 2nd for 1.62, my fish was 1.59, then 4th came at 1.52
Biggest kids fish was 1.4, and there were actually quite a few fish in the 1.4 area.
There was actually some pretty good action going on for a good part of the morning, saw plenty of fish hit the net.
