I've looked at the Sep's sight and could not find the Light Downrigger Release you mentioned. However, I assume that they are simply using the light tension release made by Off Shore Tackle and attatching it to a mini cable snap clip. The snap clip can be attached anywhere on the downrigger line, the trick to making it stay in one place is to place a little surgical tubing over the bend of the clip where downrigger line will fit. If you haven't already purchased this release, I suggest picking up a couple of Scotty mini grabber release clips. Much less expensive and they work great, you can pick them up at Sportco less than $5 a piece along with the mini cable snap clips. Tie up your own with heavy mono or Dacron so that they are the proper length for your boat.
