SEPPS LIGHT DOWNRIGGER CLIP
How do you attach the Sepps Light downrigger clip? It has a wire clip not a pressure pinch clip. The only thing I have figured out so far is to attach it directly to my downrigger ball. Is there anyway to attach it to the downrigger cable or use this type for stacking 2 poles off one downrigger like salmon trolling? I am targeting Kokes and Silvers and want a light release.

http://www.sepsprofishing.com/cart/prod ... -53-3.html This is the stacker clip.
I am not sure what the clip is that you mentioned but it sounds like the one that you can clip to your down rigger ball,
Mike has an American Lake Video that shows how a stacker clip works. Youtube link for it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4xB7Zg-A ... e=g-user-u

Re: SEPPS LIGHT DOWNRIGGER CLIP
I've looked at the Sep's sight and could not find the Light Downrigger Release you mentioned. However, I assume that they are simply using the light tension release made by Off Shore Tackle and attatching it to a mini cable snap clip. The snap clip can be attached anywhere on the downrigger line, the trick to making it stay in one place is to place a little surgical tubing over the bend of the clip where downrigger line will fit. If you haven't already purchased this release, I suggest picking up a couple of Scotty mini grabber release clips. Much less expensive and they work great, you can pick them up at Sportco less than $5 a piece along with the mini cable snap clips. Tie up your own with heavy mono or Dacron so that they are the proper length for your boat. See this post for more details: http://www.washingtonlakes.com/forum/vi ... lip#p85675 Here are some pics of the mini release setup that I have put together. I have a duo snap on the end so that I can attach it directly to the ball/weight or to the cable snap.KenPCPilot wrote:How do you attach the Sepps Light downrigger clip? Re: SEPPS LIGHT DOWNRIGGER CLIP
I don't have any problem getting it to stay in one place on my downrigger cable. I have also made my own with 30lb. test mono.

Re: SEPPS LIGHT DOWNRIGGER CLIP
I don't know about SEPPS or what it is but this seems to be the DR clip of choice for the light mouthed Kokes.

Looked pretty cool to me, but I've had clips that you have to twist your line on and they never worked right for me. This one may be different.
