Ok, Eastside Esox fans: There will be a meeting, in 11 days, on Wednesday,
June 9th at 6:30pm at the Round Table Pizza at 5 mile which is 1908 W
Francis Street. in Spokane.
This will be an informational meeting to see what kind of turn out we
have and to see and meet those people interested in helping with this.
So get the word out to all your angler friends; history is about to be made and all you excellent fishermen who love the tiger muskie come on out and support this great effort! Craig Dowdy and his angler wife, Melodie are two people who are willing to step up and get it rolling, but they will need more guys and gals to give support and input to make this a success!
Come with your appetite and have a bite to eat, bring questions, ideas. We all know that the Spokane area holds a multitude of anglers and hunters and great outdoorsmen. Please come out and support this great non-profit to help support the Tiger Muskie Program at WDFW and to meet up with some of your other esox comrades. One of the BEST things about CH#57 is all the people we have met and formed great friendships with over the past 3 years:
You will find more people to fish with and to share ideas with and to have fun with!!

It is not too early to be thinking about a name and logo for the 60th Chapter of Muskies, Inc!
Maybe a contest to determine the hottest logo?? Bring your ideas. The best part about this is: Ch 57 and Muskies, Inc. International are willing to share what works, what doesn't work; learn from our path, you don't have to re-invent the wheel, here, just get on board!!

Ok, you are corrected. [lol]
Spokane will be the 60th Chapter.
Ottawa is on hold for right now and Pennsylvania (NE Corner of the State) will come on Board in the Fall.
(That will make 4 Chapters for them in Penn.)

It will be good for the Eastside to have their own chapter run by eastside anglers and its always good to have more Muskie Clubs; more support for the WDFW!:cheers:

Be sure to pass this info on to all your angler friends on the Eastside; tell them to come and get in on the Group Photo we will be taking and sending to Muskies, Inc. International.

WOW what can i say except Thanks to all 26 people that attended Muskies Inc.Chapter 60's first meeting. I want to thank Perry and Jani for all their hard work without it none of this would have been possible. I also want to thank everyone from the Kalispel Tribe and WDFW for all the great insight on the Muskie program and the Pike program. We deffinetly surpassed our expectations for the meeting. We made a giant step twords making all our dreams come true of having a Spokane Chapter of Muskies Inc. If people are still interested in joining or if your already a member, and you want to help out with the board send me a email with your info on it and i will get back to you. We will be having a board meeting in the near future to set up our board positions and comittee chairs, and to pick a name for the new chapter. Dont forget there is a Pike tourney this Sat on the PO River, be there by 5:30 to sign-up at the Cusick boat launch, then afterwards a fish fry and potluck so bring a side dish, it will be held at the Blueslide Resort. OMG, you guys didn't just jump out of the gate, you rocket-launched!
I think I can accurately say that all 95 of our Chapter's members were supportive of this new Chapter, especially those who already lived near Spokane. LOL.
Now you can have your own meetings, run your tournaments, raise money - its all win-win.
It just makes sense that there is a club for eastside esox muskellunge fans.

The meeting went great our new name is chapter 60# Mountain Muskies. We had 7 total board members of which 6 were there. Im President, Chuck's Vice, Mel's Secretary, Scotty's Treas, Doug is Reg VP, Don and Chris are our 2 extra board members. We are already working on functions to earn money for the Chapter, also we are going to plan 1 tournement here this year if we can get it worked out at Newman Lake... hopefully. Doug is working on the logo so in the near future we should have a logo. We will be meeting the 4th Tues of every month and doing our board meetings afterwards to save trips to Spokane for everyone. The meeting went better than I would have thought. I know we have a group of people that are dedicated to seeing this chapter suceed. If anyone is still interested in becoming a memeber or joining the board please let us know so we can get you signed up. Craig
