I have just ice fished pike. I would like to buy some gear Rod reel and line suitable to this area. Smaller bait , clearer water I get, I think. Could I get some set up Ideas for these tiger muskies. Thank you.

I would suggest something like a steelhead set-up. Baitcast, longer rod, but use heavier line.

I have a 6'6" fast action ugly stick with a presidential pflueger, 15lb mono with a 60 flourocarbon leader. Spinnerbaits, spoons, inline spinners, swimbaits, rapalas, etc. all work for pike. You can even catch a few if you are targeting trout too!!

Don't be afraid to fly fish for em. They will take a perch pattern.

I'd say the best setup for pike is a 7' MH or H casting rod with a good quality reel like a Curado 200sf or simular reel if you not into baitcasters a 6'6" or 7' MH spinning rod with a larger spinning reel with a good drag system will work. I use 50# braid on all my pike rods. I put on about 75 yards of it over the top of 15# mono. That way when you need to change your line it's cheaper and you need mono under braid to keep it from slipping on the reel spool.

That is true. I was a humbled pike fisherman, when I took sparky out for his first time ever and he put 5 in the boat on a fly and I only got 2.
