Most of the muskie anglers are headed out to Merwin. So I might be waiting for a reply for a few days. blah,blah,blah#-o
I'm not going to the Olympic Pen. 'til tomorrow morning,so I'm planning on doing some muskie fishing later this evening.
Should I still use darker colored bucktails? Super loud/annoying cranks?
Any info helps,I'm not bringing the boat up.Fishing from the shore is limited but what the hey!!!!

This will get to you too late, but...
For the most part, fishing at night is the same as fishing at other times. However, since typically at night there is less angler traffic, the fish feel less pressure. Therefore, you might find them in more shallow waters or in less cover.
As for lures, spinners with big blades are good. Using silver with darker colors is still fine. Bigger targets are probably good at nigh, so choosing a bigger lure, such as a 10" Jake, rather than smaller crankbaits might be a better choice. Of course the depth of the waters you are running makes a difference. If it's shallow, the in-line spinner or a shallower-running crankbait like a big Stalker would be good choices. If it's deeper, run with the heavy spinnerbait, such as the Jake or a deeper diver. Try different things with retrieves, don't always rely on a slow, straight return. Be aware that hits on the spinner at night can be very soft, so stay alert. Jerkbaits may also work well, also the Bulldawg is another one to try.
How did you do? Any luck?

Thanks for the info.
Friday night was good, didn't catch anything but saw a few bass in the shallows. They didn't spook with the mag-lite(much to my surprise)
Didn't see any tigers(yet) but it was nice to be on Tapps when all is quiet.I'll be headed back up there very soon.

I got on Tapps today, my first time. The Greens were kind enough to show us around. Nice, quiet day. Nothing caught or even spotted, but it was still good to get out on the water and to learn the "lay of the land."
