I was just reading that we are going to get 6,000 tigers in 09. So instead of dividing it up 7 ways lets divide it up 9 ways. Still give the original 7 lakes a good amount of tigers but take, lets say 40 fish out of each lake (280). Then in the 2 lakes put those tigers (140 each). Would it be easier to pass a law at 2 lakes that keeps people from harvesting tigers?

gpc, according to the figures that I have gathered from this forum. It will take all 6,000 of the new tigers to stock Sprague.

Sprague won't get any tigers in '09.

WDFW's rehabilitation plan calls for stocking rainbow trout, bass, and panfish. The trout are a transition species that will be phased out after several years. WDFW intends to manage Sprague as a bass and panfish fishery, using tiger muskies as the predator species to prevent overpopulation and stunting. WDFW plans to begin stocking Sprague with tigers 3 or 4 years from now.

When Sprague (2,200 acres) does receive tiger plants, it won't get anywhere near 6,000 fish (2.75 fish per acre). WDFW typically stocks tiger muskies at a rate of 0.25 to 0.50 fish per acre, which at Sprague translates to 500 to 1,000 fish per year.
