Chapter Meeting - This Thursday! (Jan. 17th)

Post by KUP » Tue Jan 15, 2008 1:43 am

Hi Folks:
Last month we packed them in and had a full house, so get there early and get your self a pizza and beverage.
NEW LOCATION: 34410 16th Ave S. is the
Round Table Pizza in Federal Way,
just north of Sportsman's Warehouse and in the same parking lot as Walmart.
Besides all the great food we got juicy $10 off coupons for Sportsman Warehouse and a few discounted tickets for the Washington Sportsman Show.... coming up the week after!
So come on over and meet up with your angler buddies and don't be shy about steppin' in if you haven't been before: ALL are welcome!

The big 51 inch Tiger Muskie Replica will be in the house and a group picture will be taken, so you can show all your friends and family what you wish for, fish for!
See ya Thursday, 6:30 PM

Tiger Muskies are sterile.
You can't keep them under 50 inches:
Let them do their job: Eating N.P.Minnows

Hey Everyone,

Special Thanks to Mr. Steve Jackson, and Mr. Bruce
Bolding, from the WDFW for coming out to pass along some information and to
say "hello". It is always good to see you guys and to hear about Tiger
Muskie news at the WDFW.

I hope you all had a great time and maybe learned a little something
also. It is going to be a great year; we have lots of fun events planned!

The "Group Picture" turned out fantastic! How could it not? There are
just too many "good looking" people in this group for it not to!:)
'Course, the star of the show was our BIG LAX 51 1/2 " Tiger Muskie. Ain't she grand?
Look for the picture on our web site, www.nwtigermuskies.org both on the front page
and in the Photo Gallery, with a caption. It was really good to see so many
happy faces in this picture.

These are just some of our 60 members.

They are a great bunch of folks; very friendly.
You don't have to me a member to attend the meetings; all are welcome.
Come on by for a pizza & brew & some tall tails.
>----):< A good gamefish is too valuable, to be caught only once.

Hook -- In a nutshell, WDFW is setting up a disease-testing lab at WSU to make sure VHS (a fish disease) isn't imported into Washington via the musky eggs we get from Minnesota DNR, and so far this project is on track to allow tiger musky stocking to resume in 2009. WDFW still hopes to set up a broodstock program so we don't have to depend on Minnesota for eggs. The latest on this is that several states may work together on this, opening the possibility of keeping the brood muskies in Montana or Idaho. Also, there has been a reorganization at WDFW with some of the warmwater staff reporting to new bosses.
