Curlew Lake - Tough Bite

Post by Deadeyemark » Sun Jul 01, 2007 10:04 pm

We put the boat in at about 6 or so on Thursday. Ran around the lake looking. Ended up at the north end. Fifth cast put this fatty in the net with a Ducktail Lures Weed Warrior spinnerbait. Another hit 1/2 hr later on another DLWW spinnerbait resulted in a stripped skirt including the zip tie holding it on but no hook up. Jed had a short strike/blow-up on a baby weagle and a lazy follow. Fri, Sat and Sun resulted in nothing. Not even a follow. Heavy rains on Fri and Sat morning put them down. This was the only musky caught over those days that we know of. Everyone said they weren't responding to anything. I think the electro-fishing had something to do with it to some extent.

Well, I can't attach the pic. File to big. Something has changed since the last pic I attached.

Anyhow, it was 39" X 19"
