fishing from dock/ shore

Post by bridge253 » Thu Jun 14, 2007 11:34 pm

Has there been any luck for guys going after tigers from the docks and shores or are they pretty much only being caught by trolling?

As Don will tell you catching a musky from the shore is scientifically impossible.

Elbowing Don in the ribs is everybody's idea of good clean fun on this board. Nevertheless, you handicap yourself by not having a boat (it doesn't have to be a fancy boat).

Sorry Don couldn't resist. In all seriousness yes you can catch a musky from shore, but your chances are WAY better from a boat. I always cast for muskies though; I don't troll. One gentleman on these boards though has caught several muskies from shore, but that is certainly the exception, not the rule. If you're serious about muskies, a boat is a pretty good place to start.
