The problem with this is that I went into Sportsman's Warehouse on my way up to the Pend Oreille River and there hangs a picture of a very proud man holding up his <40inch muskie.... In his driveway.... Victim of ignorance... So where the hell are the signs? Somebody needs to call somebody and find out or let me know who to call and I will find out or make some myself.
GF,
It would seem that the gentleman with the dead, kept musky is still guilty of poaching!!! Just because there was no sign at the boat launch does not mean that it's legal to keep fish smaller than the legal size.
When you're between speed limit signs, does that mean you can drive faster just because a sign isn't visible.
The law is the law even when no one is looking - Better yet: You are who you are when no one is looking! I heard this from a very wise person a few years ago. I like it.
Seems to me a picture is good proof of poaching a musky. Why don't ya take it down and post it on this forum under lake reports. Scan it. Email it to the WDFW also. If you ask me, an example needs to be made at some point. No better time than the present.
Whatcha think GF?
