Hey folks,
Just got an email from Kathy Smith(Director Pierce Co Parks) and another email from Denny Bilderback(Manager Lk Tapps Pierce Co Park) stating that the gate will open this season at 0600, that's 6am to us civilians. That's even 1/2 hour better than last year.
This will begin as soon as they get water to make the launch useable. I will post this as soon as I know.
Most of this early opening is on behalf of Denny so when you use this launch early, tell the folks there thanx and if you see Denny, tell him how much you appreciate this. He's a big guy, likes to body build. Great guy.
Good News. Just wanted to share.

Any idea what it costs to launch on that side. I aint paying that money grubbing City of Bonney Lake what they want.
When you think you know it all, its time to quit. Knowledge should be gained on every trip.
RE:Lake Tapps Boat Launch Hours
I buy a yearly pass for $75.00 which is good at both Tapps and Spanaway. I already bought it from Bud at Spanaway so I'd be ready when Tapps is full. Thought we'd be fishing by now, hopefully it will be soon. I think the daily rate is the same as Bonney Lake is charging down at Allan York.
I'm not in the toilet yet, but I'm definitely standing on the rim.

The cost is $10 at the north end Pierce Co Park launch. Real nice triple launch, docks, bathrooms and nice parking area.
Bill, you're right on the yearly pass. It'll work at both lakes.
According to the paper, it'll be about 2 weeks before it's filled.
