I got conformation today that they will be bringing out more colors of the S-Waver bait this year in the spring sometime, so that should make some of you (like me) very happy. :bounce: It's like a late :rendeer:Anglinarcher wrote:

Anyone ever try the River 2 sea Swimbaits?

Just browsing some old threads and saw this post. Any updates as to when these new colors might be coming? I purchased an S-Waver a couple weeks ago and that action is awesome!Fish-N-Fool wrote: I got conformation today that they will be bringing out more colors of the S-Waver bait this year in the spring sometime, so that should make some of you (like me) very happy. :bounce: It's like a late :rendeer:

I haven't heard squat from them, No baits yet and the computer I used to email them died so I lost the info I had. I will try to email them again and see whats up with the new baits.
I ended up making my own perch pattern with a few colored sharpies and it turned out great and I already caught some fish on it.
Here is the S-waver I "painted" with the sharpies

At the time, my source was John Linkens, of River2Sea, but just recently, they have indeed decided to bring out some new colors.Fish-N-Fool wrote:So Anglinarcher what source are you quoting from and when were you told this?Anglinarcher wrote:

I was told when I called to them about 2 monthes ago that they were bringing out some new colors. I also requested more colors and was told the would be adding a perch pattern and firetiger at least. They said they should be out about early April. I'm suppose to recieve some of the prototypes when they come out, so we shall see.
I recently talked to John and to Simon Chan, their Japan counterpart and lure designer, and new colors are in the works. The two that you mention are top on their list, and I even went to far as to show Simon the perch color I preferred.
I personally am excited about it, so support them.

Too much water, so many fish, too little time.

I got this response from John Linckens of River2Sea today about the upcoming S-Waver colors, he wrote;
We have ordered 4 new colors of S-WAVERS for the upcoming season....and will discontinue 3. We have added the Baby Bass / Ghost Minnow / Fire Tiger / Bluegill (S45). These will be available in July of this year.

John Linckens

Excellent news, they should have come out with a Perch pattern instead of Bluegill. If they plan to discontinue 3 colors they have now, does that leave only one color of the current stock? Might be a good time to stock up, did you find out which colors will be discontinued?Fish-N-Fool wrote:I got this response from John Linckens of River2Sea today about the upcoming S-Waver colors, he wrote;

Nope he didn't say. I hope they keep the hitch color and the brightest trout color also.

Let's see, they have a (1)lite trout, the bright gold/yellow one, and I was told by John that it is their biggest seller, so I doubt it will be discontinued.
They have a (2)stalked trout and a (3)hold-over trout that are so close to each other that it almost doesn't make any difference. For all practical purposes, one has a red eye and the other does not.
They have the hitch (4) which should be popular in California where Hitch is a real bait fish.
They have the (5)Kokanee, which is not all that different from the Hitch.
IF I were betting, and I have no additional information, I would guess they are going to eliminate two trout (2&3) and the Kokanee (5).
Place your bets on the table. LOL
PS, the bluegill is so close to a perch that it really should have been named a perch. I am still trying to get Simon to paint up some like the Bossy Mark perch.

OK, I have inside information. LOL
ICAST is in July, and at that time we will see new colors. I can admit that I have seen prototype colors at Larry Dahlberg's visit to Spokane, but I was sworn to secrecy.
I think we are going to like them.

LOL - I may have nothing legal to worry about, but I do have friendships to worry about. All I can say is that there will be 7 colors (that I saw anyway). The SW01, the yellow or brightest trout, will still be in the lineup.
No further information is forthcoming until I am given the go-ahead.

That was the ugliest bait in the bunch!!! lol Figures they would keep that one. That's the one I painted my perch bait out of.Anglinarcher wrote: The SW01, the yellow or brightest trout, will still be in the lineup.
