Oh yeah, Norm can do some great things on the computer. He is now our new flyer/poster guy. I don't know if he posted it yet, but you should see the Curlew tournament flyer he created for our Esoxaganza tournament. Hopefully he can make it back in time for the Mayfield event and redeem himself and his boat after the last performance they had on Mayfield lake. Lets just say there was some Jerry Rigging and rewiring of the motor while on the water. I will let him tell the rest if he wants. All I have to say is thanks to Adolf and Lee for helping us out that day!!

I can work though a few things but Dennis can show me up whenever he chooses.... :-).

Thanks for reminding about the Curlew flyer, I totally forgot about that one. It will have to wait until I get home; everything is all packed up now. I don't think I'll be redeeming myself this year on Mayfield, that was an adventurist day though...LOL. I just got a nice on-board charging system for the boat so hopefully those days are over. It does make for a good story though.

Well I gotta run, time has come to start the journey home and catch up with DJ. See you all soon

I know all 3 of you will be busy with your families for a while, upon your return home to the Northwest.

So we will patiently wait for the first sign of your boats.

God's Speed and a safe journey home to us.

Thank you for your service to our country.
Proud of you all.:salut:

Remember, you do not have to be a muskie expert to fish in this tournament.
We are out to have fun and are willing to teach anyone more about muskies;
so come on up to Mayfield and have a good time on the water! Bring some money for that humongous raffle, too and an appetite ready for a dinner of cheeseburgers and fries, fresh from the Viking Burger... yummoo!

Water temps are up, the lake is ready and the weather should be perfect.

:fish: How do you know when you have achieved diehard fisherman statis? As you run down the dock from your buddy's muskie fishing boat, 4 hours on the water, you are heard to say I've got to go home I'm an hour late for my own birthday party! Cudaman, my hats off to ya.:salut:

Just had a new donation to the Mega Raffle up at Mayfield this coming weekend; check out the artwork below.
Its a beaut of a tiger and it is 28 x 14.
Many thanks to Garett Shipman; artist, for his generous donation to Muskies, Inc.
He has been on the cover of Musky Hunter Magazine multiple times.

He calls this one "Hidden Dragon, Crouching Tiger" [thumbsup]

Tick Tock Tick Tock, only a few days away. Don't forget the mandatory contestants meeting at 5:30am. I would like to have all boats in the water by then so as not to delay the 6am start. For those of you not already signed up for this event, can do so the day of the event up until 5:30am. We will be launching from the Mayfield County Park boat launch. See you guys there.

Tick Tock Tick Tock:bounce:

#-o Wish we could be there to visit with everyone especially Norm, DJ and families but we can't. I have sent Jani money to buy us some raffle tickets though because I would really like to have that great patio furniture set!!!!!! Probably won't win :-({|= but it is a good way to support the club since we can't make meetings and outings much anymore. Hope you all have a great tournament and a fantastic weekend.

I heard from an anonymous sources that there was only one fish caught. Aside from the fishing, the raffle and everything else went very well. Everyone had a good time.

Inquiring minds be settled. Dougw was right only 1 fish was caught during the tournament. Bruttle yes, but I think we found the culprit why. Since it was a full moon and clear skies starting on Friday night before the tournament, we believe the muskies had a feed fest all night long and were not hungry during the day light hours. With 1/2 hour to go in the tournament it appeared some of the muskie started to follow aggressively again, but too little to late. The raffle was definitely a huge success with an insane amount of prizes given away. With the great weather, I still had a great time. Next year will be better. If need be we will switch the tournament to a night tournament and that way we can beat the heat as well.

Until next year.

Bring on Merwin.....:salut:
