Lake Tapps Tiger Muskie Plant

Post by KUP » Mon May 03, 2010 8:02 pm

Evergreen was not the only lake getting some tigers today. Lake Tapps got 1100 and they were fat and happy and at warp speed.[thumbup]
Thanks to all who came to help WDFW. Now the little torpedoes just need to stay out of harms way and grow.[rolleyes]

Tiger Muskies are sterile.
You can't keep them under 50 inches:

:bounce: You got some good pics Jani. Looks like it was kind of cold over there. Heard you all had a good time though putting those babies in the lake.

No worries, Max; all 7 of the tiger muskie lakes will get stocked with tiger muskie this month. They had some 5,200 at the hatchery, so, depending on the size of the lake, everyone will get some new little babies; watch for them if you are out there on Silver or Newman; they get theirs sometime near the end of May.

I stopped by Tapps today, unknowing of the plant, and was amazed at the number of small Tigers near the boat launch. The plant explains it, I just thought I was really lucky to see so many fish there... me lucky? No way!`
