Rock Creek/Rock Cove

Post by Captain_Coconut » Wed Jun 29, 2016 12:12 pm

Good Afternoon!

I'll be headed down to Stevenson in a few weeks, and wanted to know if any of you had luck fishing Rock Creek for Steelhead, or Rock Cove for Sturgeon (C&R) and Catfish.
Just a heads up for those of you who have never heard of Stevenson, it's about 30 minutes West of Drano Lake and White Salmon, and right off Highway 14.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I fished Rock Cove a few times in the past (4-5 years ago) from a sit on top kayak. I targeted bass at the time. It's pretty shallow from what I remember. I did fairly well pitching tube jigs to the wood and rock structure. I would think there are bullheads in there but never caught any. I highly doubt there being sturgeon in there. It's shallow and gets weedy in the summer months. The entrance from Rock Cove out to the Columbia is very shallow as well. I mean like drag the bottom of a sit on top kayak shallow.
