Ive been hearing reports of some fish in the system. People are catching dime bright hos up in concrete on the Skagit already so I am really hoping theres some fish to be had on the Stilly. Heading up Tuesday afternoon. Anyone else gonna be up there?

Probably are if they are in there. It's pretty low. It's not like the skagit where they can shoot up higher quicker. Need some rain before it gets any good.

There were some rolling around Haller Park in the main run before that last rain. Now I havent seen anything at Haller. I haven't tried down low, so Im not sure if theres anything there, but I did see some rolling in the shallows at kayak point yesterday, so theyre comming. The salt is still pretty slow according to the fish checker at everett today (1 fish/boat avg) so its probably not going to be good until October.

There are fish already up in Canyon Creek in the deep low holes, though not that many in the system yet... There is usually a small early group of fish that shoot through the sytem... smallish fish typically - 4-8 pounds or so. The fish will trickle in for the next couple of weeks and stack up in the lower holes. Your "white church" location can be good, but I would fish lower if I were you. Give the white church another week or two. Last week of September the big guys show up. That's when the fishing will get consistantly good.

I fished Norman Hole on Sunday. Tons of jumpers while we were there. Small fish, 3-5 lbs it looked like. Couldn't coax a bite on spinners or DN's. Water is way too warm I feel. Going to try again today after work since it has been much cooler the past 2 days. Maybe a willing biter is to be had!

Went down in the lower river yesterday and it was completely dead! I guess the fish must have moved up with the low pressure. I fished the Redi-Mix plant, Norman Hole, and below the railroad bridge/confluence of the slough and mainstem. Saw 1 fish roll in all 3 spots.

Thanks for the update Matt. My bro said the nets are in right below I5 now. Think i'll play around in the salt for a few weeks till the Stilly picks up.
