Im looking for a few spinning reels that wont break the bank that will handle everything from Humpies to Steelhead and all in between. Can anyone recommend what size reel, brands?

Quite honestly, I have had awesome luck with the cabelas salt strykers 50. I have 3 of them and all work very well!

I'm a shimano fan so I'd recommend a Sahara or something around there, can't go wrong with them, they've never wronged me, or you could get a pflueger president, penn battle, or penn fierce, cabelas salt striker, Abu Garcia cardinal, Abu Garcia Orra or revo series, but try not to skimp too much or you might be back for another reel sooner than you'd like, and of course perform routine maintenance to maintain the reels performance.

Penn Battle 4000. Awesome reel for under $100. Great for salt or fresh.

I second the salt striker... they go on sale all the time. I have 3 of them... good feel, a decent drag and smooth bearings for about $50 on sale.

Im also a Shimano guy. The Shimanos are the only reels i've never had issues with. I would go with a 4000 series Shimano. The Sienna and Solstace are both good reels for $30 or $40 and have nice smooth drag systems with lots of adjustability and have instant anti reverse. I also have the Sedona which runs about $60 but honestly it feels the exact same as the $30 Sienna I have.

I went with a Penn Conflict, its Penns version of the Quantum Smoke. Love how smooth it it.
