well i saw the Cowlitz river today... if a fish can see more then 2" in front of his face. he's doing good... in fact all the rivers look super nasty right now... but I'm not a river fisherman... gonna take a couple of days to get them down and cleaned up..

Ok thanks, maybe the skookumchuck might be a little more fun to explore.

I agree with dadamunky...skookumchuck is a mess right now. Wait until it comes back into shape (usually between 100-400 cfs)...it's currently at 3320 cfs....I would venture to guess the water is up to the base of the trees right now.

Save your gas money. Everything is blown out and will take a while to settle back into place.

Anything under 10k is fishable, I've fished it up to 12. That is if you're fishing the hatchery areas. The river will be bouncing around from 4k to 12k every week this spring. They let water out on Mondays, and lower it for the weekends. There will be times where it will vary from the weather, but for the most part this is how it goes. Right now the water is at 6,600 cfs which is perfect, last week they got one springer and 45 steelhead back in the counts.
