Ok so with me living in Everett I don't get down that way very often to fish. All I'm asking is if people are catching steelies and how does the river look?

maybe it is your lucking day on the sky thursday and you will be granted with lots of chrome...or try blue ck, the dam got a mighty 4 back last week, so there might be around blue ck, try bobber and jigs with this high water floated at your feet.

you mean blue creek, there is a trout hatchery on blue creek by the blue creek ramp where most of the winter runs return to, it is like less than 10 miles down spencer rd from barrier dam but barrier might ave some along with old summer runs and coho.
You have to walk to the mouth of blue creek but in higher flows it is not as good as just downstream of the ramp but be aware you are not allowed to fish within 100 feet of the fish intake pipe by the ramp but if you go downstream of that there is some good bobber water for jigs and bait but toss some spoons and spinners in a little bit too, cowlitz fish seem to like silver spoons.

I have noticed that as many as the guides can catch does not reflect how many a non guide guy will catch especially if you are bank fishing, 3 guides might be limited but out of the other hundred fisherman there might be only 3 fish caught.
