anyone use one? have any reviews? looking at getting a 10'6" and was curious what others have thought of the wild river series. also trying to decide if i want the medium or medium light power.

I have a 9'6" 8-17 spinning rod that i use for bobber and eggs. quality rod with good customer service. and made in good ol USA. hard to go wrong with St. Croix.

I've got one. Got it a few years ago, someone gave me a gift cert at Cabelas or bass pro, I forgot. Anyways, i needed a new steelhead spinning rod and I picked a 9'6" wild river. The new line up looks a lot different than what I bought. It's a decent rod with good components.

The cons with the rod I got is that it came with minimal eyes and 5 year warranty.

I've been buying st croix rods for a long time. Personally, if you can splurge a little more, get the avid series. Premium components, lots of eyes, lot lighter, and lifetime warranty.

i have 9'6 8-12 avit and 15' centerpin 6-10 avit for freedrift awesome rods for money. wild rivers are tanks compared to avit . still cant go wrong wild rivers are durable but a little heavy for my liking..id spend a little more and get xmg50 go to da store and try it youll know what i mean they compare to glx and imx which cost twice

Lamiglas Certified pro is a great rod and not overpriced at all. and their customer service cant be beat. I drove off with two rods on top of my truck and broke two eyes on each and they are fixing them both for free. and they're made right here in Washington state. St croix is a good rod and the one i have i love but i"m a lamiglas for life customer.

oh yeah, lamis used to be my fav, just as good as a g.loomis but half the price but most are just 1 year warrantees but I have only broke 1 lamiglas though. Me and my dad have so many of those norwest specials and graphite rods becuase they were really cheap at sportsmans and joes sporting goods. But we stumpled upon the west coast premier rod at sportco for like $85 when it was on sale and it is an awesome rod as well as berkely rods. just my 2 cents.

sorry a wildriver are tanks and sloppy compared to xmg50 . wilds are good rods dont get me wrong but thats comparing apples to oranges you get what you pay for, but hey what do i know

yeah odh, I saw you handle those kings very well with that little steelhead rod of yours I was very impressed, I might have to invest but I do not need another drift rod until my north by northwest or gl3 gives out again, I hate my gl3, nice rod but the guides suck. Oh yeah and I got a $35 wright and mcgill from a pawn shop once that is really old, I believe it is called a northwest steelheader or something cool like that that is 7ft 7, perfect for spoons and spinners on steelhead.
