I know fishenfreak has been slayin them over on the Cascade . I cant make i over there, and was thinkin about hittin Barrier Dam Or Blue Creek ? How they doin down there ?
Ive filled 2 catch cards this season and am on my 3rd and would like to get a few steelies on there !
29 Kings This Season
13 Silvers
16 Bright Chum
1 pink
Thats whats on my card, pretty good for a 14 year old, but i want Steel !
I know what to use, bobber/jig(sometimes tipped with eggs) , or bobber/eggs with a little bit of yarn.

I got money for gas, i got the gear, so where do i go ?
Thanks Guys ! :nemo: =D>

Cascade Is well worth the trip. I limited out 7 times already there and made a total of 8 trips to the Cascade. Not bad for a 13 year old huh?

blue creek EARLY in the morning has been GOOD from shore with bobber eggs or shrimp as close to the hatchery intake as you can get. Just get there a hour before light, stand in your spot and when its light enough to fish you should hit a few early before the snaggers move in a ruin it. Barrier doesnt usually pick up until the B run in the cowlitz, march and april. Some fat kings up there still tho. Lol. you should hit some peninsula rivers if thats closer than cascade.

Did you try to recover your password? Everybodys passwords got reset when they did the upgrade. You also have to activate the password that gets sent to you if you use the lost password recovery.

Hahha! No problem. I don't even know how many fish I've caught, but we're pretty much set for fish until the springers show up. I've lost count of my cards, what with all the humpies I smoked up. We eat fish three four or five days a week. It's been a good year.

As far as where to go, blue creek is a good bet. Barrier has received about 1,000 winter run steel according to the latest escapement reports. Check out the Skookumchuck come january, it's a good bet and a bit closer for you Fishbait. A lot more fun to fish from the bank than the cowlitz, even if it has fewer fish. I'll be fishing it quite a bit. The queets hatchery is a good bet too, and the wynoochee shouldn't be overlooked. A lot of water up higher in the system for bankies, and you'll be less crowded than at other places.

Thanks for the info guys !
Salmonator - not bad at all for a 13 year old !

Nate - Ive been wantin to fish the Skook for a long time now , maybe ill give it a shot this year !
Fishenfreak - Thanks ! Weve filled up 2 freezes this year , but we want some steel . No one in my family has ever caughten one, never really targeted tho . And how far apart should the eggs be from the bobber at blue creek?
Thanks again !
