I see alot of Steelhead fishing in these waters. Do any Salmon run here?

yes, the sol gets a decent run. Just not as much as some others. Call the hatchery and see if they got any info for ya

I spent the weekend out here. Fished the lower Hoh and caught one Silver. We meet a Hoh native that guided us to all the spots he nets his fish. Awesome. We now have at least 6 holes to fish depending on what's running. The Bogy was dead. The hatchery said that there were two to three hundred fish waiting outside the pen, but When I got there, I looked down from the observation deck. The water was low and you could see everything in the river. Guess what I didn't see...
The Sol Duc has a reall nifty hole that I think very few people know about. There were at least a dozen or so silvers waiting here for rain to move up. None of them were interested in biting though.
Additionally we glow balled the Cowlitz at the mouth of the toutle. They said that Friday and Saturday night this area was on fire. I guessed we missed it. I had only two hook ups in 7 hours. I saw only two fish landed and not a whole lot of "fish On's."
I moved up to the puke. Dead. They were netting this morning. I spoke with a local that said that he watched them net last night and they only netted two fish. Dead. I saw one small silver strung up. Fished here for about an hour with 50 other guys. Didn't see a single fish.
I moved up to the Green off of Interurban Way....I think that's the name. Theres a great hole, upstream for the park across the bridge. LOTS of kings rolling. Foul hooked a 16 lber in the tail. Had to take a smoke break after getting him to shore. When the tide came in the silvers moved. There was pretty good surface action until about and hour before high tide. then the rolling stopped and the river was again quiet.
