Northwest Fishing Reports

Okay salmon boys and girls. The skok has fish in it. So if you go please read the regs...I was there for 2 hours today and saw 8 tickets written for snagging, illegal gear and one guy before I ever showed up got a ticket for fishing to early. Read the regs and don't yank your line every little bump. That is hoe people are getting tickets.

and just because everyone uses long leaders and small corkies does not mean you have to, although it may be hard to believe these fish do BITE, here is a picture of one i caught yesterday with the eggs deep in the throat.

I'm sure they bite there. The water is clear isn't it? You'll not convince me that they bite on the puyallup since they can't see anything until it's 6" in front of them and moving pretty fast.

I have caught kings and silvers on bobber and eggs when rivers are rolling mud, the puyallup is plenty clear enough for them to see and smell it. maybe not in the really fast stuff but if you find an eddy or deep pool...

Eggs it is, I have a batch that have been eagerly waiting to jump down a fish's throat!

Man i was just on the skok today, the fish are there for sure, but the fisherman still out number the fish. I seen some really nice lookin kings swim right on past me, but i struck out, i did see one guy land a nice maybe 15lb hatchery five min after he got on the water, i was down river from 106 as they had the stretch from the 101 to the 106 bridge closed for the indians, I will say i have never seen so many people trying to snag as i have today,
