anybody hit the nasty yesterday?

Post by spokey9 » Fri Jul 02, 2010 8:47 am

My buddy's chompin' at the bit to go down there, but i don't think there's any fish yet and don't wanna jus lose gear for nuttin.
Fishing relaxes me. It's like yoga, except i still get to kill something.

I drove by it yesterday(Mounts Rd Bridge) and didn't see anyone fishing. I won't fish it until late August/September.

i wasn't gonna hit that til mid to late august either, figured i'd ask since the buddy keeps wanting to go. He caught his biggest king there so he's in love with that river:cheers:

You will c small numbers in mid 2 late july but not catchable numbers usually wont c that tell about mid august. Theres good sea-run cutts out there tho. The earlist iv seen any king caught is about the 2nd to 3rd week of august. To me it seems like they have had lock jaw for the last couple of years. Every time i have been out there i only c fish snaged only a couple n the mouth. When i first started fishing this river about 6 years ago i use to c them hooked n the mouth all the time.
