Just found a small jar of eggs in my freezer. But they`re of questionable age.I guess I`ll pick up a thing of cured shrimp just in case. I`m running low on hooks and floats too.

This is my first year fishing the Samish so first time I went I was wading down past the Chuckanut Drive bridge and all I saw for a while was like 3` deep max water and didn`t know it got deeper farther downstream so I wasted like 2 hours in shallow water. #-oI Haven`t gotten a chance to get up there again but I`m goin` to try to get the skunk off tomorrow.I was at Fred Meyer`s today and they didn`t even have floats or red oct. hooks. I was like wtf!So yeah,I`ll be stoping at cabela`s on my way up there tomorrow.

haha awesome man, well good luck! i can tell you right now the upper anything above tidal water is SLOW SLOW. its so low that with no rain the fish havent been moving up at all, i finally found a few good pockets upriver by I-5 today but damn, way slower than last week after that rain, my buddy was near farm to market today and saw over 100 fish hooked, so if your fishing id suggest down closer to mouth than chuckanut, thats where i'll be

Had a great time with Danny today on the Samish.Went 4 for 4 flossing the throat and 2 for 2 INSIDE the mouth on bobber and eggs.Day started of a little slow then BAMM fish after fish.Danny knows this river very well so if you want a good experience with kings in a small river I give him 2 thumbs up !!! Really cool fighting a king in close quareters. My line was peeling of the reel left and right but managed to land them all. Thanks again Danny for a good time and my 1st ever king!!!

MikeLFP- THANK YOU for the response and now it makes sense and is basically very likely what R. ton thought- that the foulhooked outside the mouth fish were not on bobber and eggs 2 ft under float but probably drfit gear setup.

At the same time I think it is great you got your limit and a couple willing biters on bobber and eggs as well.

Let me guess, you fished bobber and eggs AND drift gear like maybe a small weight with a 3 foot leader and eggs or eggs and yarn or such. And most or all the 4 flossed fish I'm guessing were not taken on the bobber and eggs. At least you got your limit and felt the fight of some fish!

Anyway good luck, I'm glad he's getting people on fish that want to get fish and congrats on your first chinook! [thumbup] [thumbsup]

Flossing is legal as far as I know (I do it myself sometimes when I get a chance to get out fishing water that others are flossing or can't get a fish to bite and need a fish to bring home) but I just wanted the clarification on how these foulhooked fish were getting foulhooked. And I will report whether I flossed a fish or not (and how). Also, I won't floss in an area where others are trying to bobber and eggs or throw hardware cuz it tends to turn the fish off the bite real quick.

What I want to know is what is R. ton is going to do with the 1000 Jeopardy points...

AND when you are going to get your first coho =D> I'm guessing pretty soon. [thumbsup] Good luck.

Knotabasturd. All fish were bobber and eggs.4 of them swallowed the eggs and hook thats what I meant by flossing the throat. The other 2 hit the eggs and were landed with the hook inside the mouth. The Samish is not driftable in my opinion.Especially in the holes we were in.
Thanks for the congrats. Was a lot of fun!!!

Correct me if I am wrong, but I can't see the float ..

It's there, take a look again, very hard to see against the water but it's there in yellow.

Looked again and still don't see it - I see a weight - same weight as in this video but still see no float.
