One of my favorite floats! I know they stopped the shuttle guy last year as well. Im guessing you went down to look at it? Is it something we could make a trail around with a machete?

It looks like the pontoon guys could still walk in. Unless it's been posted as private as well.

Not to sound mean to the drift boat guys, but if pontoons can still get in and launch that would be sweet for the toon guys. If parking is the issue then doesn't make a difference though.

Unfortunately, there are a certain number of guys who have no consideration for others or just no common sense when it comes to parking. Thats been the downfall of other sweet spots like this one over the years. Between that and littering and tearing down fences or doing other damage to property, land owners eventually get fed up and things go away.

Can you still get a vehicle to the bridge or is it gated off some where on the road? If it's gated then how far from the bridge?
I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant, and not nearly so much fun. ~ John Volker

I was reposting these pictures from a buddy who went out there and reported on facebook. I would bet Mick would know, he's my shuttle guy. I would think that they would lock the gate too, but if you can get in there and there are no signs, then I would imagine you could still throw a pontoon in. This has been an issuer for a while now on the Nooch and other rivers out there, and it's really sad. There is a pay to play gravel bar a few miles downstream from there, but I don't have any info oon it, or whether it's still around. It's a shame, because that is my favorite float on the river. They got rid of the access at the upper upper float a few years back, and that was a big blow, and Save Creek wasn't even well known at all. When the people that use it get out of control with parking and garbage and shooting, it ruins it for everyone. If WDFW had more money, it would be a great idea to advocate for them buying some easements for access and improve some parking and launch sites, while taking up some of the responsibility for the parking and garbage.
