Uh oh! The secrets out. Sometimes when they're not cooperating a buzz bomb or crippled herring can get them irritated enough to attack.

true unfortunately I tossed them all weekend since my eggs sucked and did not get a single one but I did end up losing a nice big one sunday drift fishing and lost a steelhead or a springer jack on a bobber and jig.

Damn bro you shoulda fished straight sandshrimp. Those kings in barrier like that more than eggs and you can always get them. Out of the 20 we hooked last weekend at least 13 were on straight sandshrimp

Funny thing is that I went through three dozen sandshrimp with no luck, it was slow fishing all weekend, maybe 10 or so hooked each day

Most on island or hatch side? Other than our 20 i would say there wasnt more than 5-8 hooked all weekend by others either. I had a buddy who knew barrier really well

all over the hatchery side, had no boat to get to island and even the people on the island only hooked a handful. it was slow unless you know what you are doing there.

Always the case at barrier and for springers in general. Suprised guys on island wernt doing better

yah so was I, they still got some but no more than 10 hook ups a day if that. most of the fish were over there with the lower water.
