Might have luck at the mouth of the Wallace.

the sky is just too low, shitty fishing, like no fish, but gottas stick it out, fish teh skok a little, and wait til the wallace and silvers are open.

you know you can fish for silvers in the snoho too, come Sep 1.. and the skykomish has some good fishing holes for Coho as well.. you don't need to wait till the wallace opens for them and they are all red'ed up like fire engines.. get'em while they are good early in the system. There is A LOT of access points long before the wallace. the easy way isn't always the best way ;)

I caught a ton of cutties in the sky recently fishing for kings (Kings are the toughest fishery in the system by far!) prison hole and below is where I was.

From what I have heard, is we need rain before the king fishery gets up and going. There was some 3,000 kings up there as of 2 weeks ago though, even more now. If you know the river, kings are being caught as well as steel. It sounds like you REALLY gotta know the sky to punch any fish as of now. And the weather forecast this week is beutiful! A terrible thing for a river that is running low and clear however. I haven't seen nor fished the river, just all hearsay from me. Might help, but don't let it discourage you. Light lines and small baits.

They are most active in the lower river. It's always worth the gas to go fishing, I don't know what you're talking about! They are the hardest bank fishery in the Snohomish system, they sit low, and shoot through quick in the easy access bank spots. They go lockjaw and hang out in snaggy places where they're hard to get at. They're fun to catch, and we caught plenty before they opened it, but I'm not targeting them any more, you'll have a lot more luck fishing steelhead or dollies.

One day of good rain and the kings will be flowing in in great numbers. As for September 1st, id wait cause ya its open but that dont mean theres fish. I wouldent fish snoho and keep fish considering the flooded the crap pond into the river. Thats why I fish for silvers in the stilly.
