Take Hwy 2 all the way out till you see Reiter Road. Itl be on your left if your coming from Monroe area. That road will take you back to the hatchery which is the Highway side.

You're talking about the side where the houses are right?...Because normally you would take Reiter Rd. and keep going straight down into the Reiter Rearing Ponds...if I'm not mistaking....

Hatchery side is pretty easy to get to. I think there might be public access to the "highway" side as well though.

There is a turnout on highway 2. Just drive until you reach 2 lanes, and then look for cars on your left. When you find them, there is a trail over the tracks to Reiter.

Be careful parking on the highway side. The local smash and grab boys work that spot pretty hard. Just look for the wide spot on the side with all the broken glass and you know you've found the right parking spot. Just follow the trail down the hill and respect the property owners rights.

I can vouch on this, I've been broken into on that side.

Wow, a man can't just park and fish without having his car broken into. What a sad world....Im definately a respectful guy of people and their property, but if I saw someone doing that to my car they'd see some .40 hollow tips flying their way! Ha! Sorry to hear about that fellas and thanks for the directions!

I carry every time I am on the river as well. Was pulling my waders off one time and a guy walking by saw my holstered EMP and said "good idea" as he nodded at my hip.

Yeah it's always a good idea to take advantage of the second amendment. More so worried about animals than anything though. Lol

Tweekers, twackers, crackheads....yeah I guess you can call them animals. Sucks that you can't just leave your car somewhere without having to worry about it. 4 spin and glows and left the change?! Jeeze.... ](*,)

I remember last year I ran into a lady who worked for the WDFW who told me that something like 16 cars had their windows smashed out at Reiter one morning, and whoever did it didn't even take anything. Just went around smashing windows for the fun of it.
