2010/11 Season River Trophies

Post by Gringo Pescador » Mon Oct 11, 2010 11:29 am

We've got trophy pics in other sections but I didn't see one here. With the low salmon return counts this year we need all the motivation we can get.

The rules:

Any species.
It must either be a 1st or a Personal best

I'll get it started.

10/10/10, Wild Duwamish buck, 12.5lbs cleaned - My PB keeper river fish to date.

I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant, and not nearly so much fun. ~ John Volker

I really should have measured this fish to get some estimate on its size#-o . Rough guess is it was easily 30+ (chinook obviously). It was close to biggest if not the biggest for me personally. Much bigger than my brighter avatar fish. I could not carry it (or drag it might be more accurate since it dragged the ground) with one hand and the guy that netted it groaned and struggled lifting the net up LOL. It was really deep too. Not real bright (therefore didn't photo it) but not too bad either.

Wow Matt, judging by the fish's facial expression it can't believe it was that big either! I gotta admit though, Brian's sturgeon while fishing for salmon probably steals the show in the trophy case here so far.

~Men and fish are alike. They both get into trouble when they open their mouths.

~My biggest worry is that my wife (when I'm dead) will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it.

You're going to have to speak up Quad I can't hear you.
Look for Wannafish A Lure on FaceBook
He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.

28.5 lbs after 6 hours out of the water unfortunately, and using the taped formula. Unfortunately I had 2 scales... both left at home.
