Has anyone fished this river at the mouth recently? I couldn't find it listed on this website. The WDFW says it's open right now for Coho though.
I don't know much about Coho fishing but will be fishing the Copalis River this weekend. Any tips on a good setup/method for a beginner would be much appreciated!

Blue fox #4 spinners work well. Not many fish in right now, there was a good run a couple weeks ago.
Take lots of gear!! The whole river is full of snags!!#-o
It is a very shallow, short river
If going to the mouth 4x4 vehicle is a must! That stretch of beach can be very nasty, especially if its raining
Oh, and watch out for landing airplanes! The beach near the mouth is listed as an airport, and pilots think they have the right of way.
Feel free to PM me if you need more info

LOL hooking a plane would put a whole new perspective on flyfishing... Especially using strong braid and having that winter steelhead hookset down[scared] .Coastfishin wrote:Blue fox #4 spinners work well. Not many fish in right now, there was a good run a couple weeks ago.
