Glow Bug

Post by king killer » Thu Oct 03, 2013 7:43 pm

Hey guys just got into fly fishing about 3 months ago so still a bit of beginner. This is going to be a bit of a nube question but I'm going to ask it anyways, is it possible to fly fish a glow bug with sink tip line ? If so how ?
Thanks in Advance, David

What are you fishing for and how deep will you be fishing? The thing that I think would be tough with a sink-tip line would be detecting the bite and achieving a dead drift. I think the best thing to do would be run a long leader with a weighted glo-bug and a strike indicator. Dead drift, mend when there is drag, set the hook when it sinks.
