Newman Lake Tomorrow
Goin' to Newman tomorrow, probably for the last time this year. Anybody want to join me, I'll be there around 10:00 A.M. and rowing the south 1/4th of the lake. I'll be in a 12' jon boat. I just need to go float my boat.
Where you go is less important than how you get there.

The water was almost crystal clear. No wind to start and the lake was like a mirror.craig dowdy wrote:was the water still stained real bad from the algae?
We fished the lily pads across from the launch for 3 hours. Then the wind started.
Where you go is less important than how you get there.

RE:Newman Lake Tomorrow
We went with the intention to fly fish, but wound up spin fishing. We used roadrunners with grub tails, lizards, power worms & the like. We saw carp several times, but nothing else. When the wind picked up it made it too difficult to fish without an anchor so we left.sparky1doug wrote:Lotech Joe, were you fly fishing? If so what fly were you using? Color and size? Any follows?
