Guys,

A couple of things to mention regarding boat maintenance:

1) Make sure you have a water separator for your outboards so that water does not get in your fuel. Most outboards have these under the cowling but are not sufficient enough to protect your motors unless you have an additional separator in your battery box to protect your motors.

2) Please check behind propellar for line.

Do these things and you will be a much happier boater.

Good Fishing,

Russ

And go fishing year round so you don't have to do the winterization. :)

Altho ya still gotta do the yearly checkup. Don't want the motor to conk out at the opposite end of the lake than where the launch is, then ya have to row your way back. Or hope the electric motor lasts that long. Been there, done that when the driveshaft broke on my new motor in '89 at the very north end of Sammamish. Got half way south, then got a tow.
