Try Meridian since you've already tried Sawyer,..get there early and head North towards the end of the lake,..hit all the docks,..or hit the pads to the left of the fishing docks,..might catch a HOG!

I didn't try for any bass, but when i went to lake wilderness a couple months ago a gentleman who lives on the lake was telling me that there are a lot of lunkers in that lake. He says not many people fish for them there cause they don't know they are in there. whether or not this is true maybe someone else can fill us in. Just going off some info i gathered.

I caught my largest LMB's at Geneva, but I dont' think you can fish it without a boat, and with the water levels what they are, it could still be challenge to launch. They say Killarney is good too (across the street from Geneva).

Or Sammamish. I've seen lunkers come from there.

Coulon Park as a good reputation.

Bass Lake and Lake 12, Deep Lake in Enumclaw, Lake Morton between Kent and Black Diamond. Black Diamond Lake if you're willing to bushwhack.

what is the boat situation like at wilderness, is there a launch... and is combustible engine allowed? I haven't been there in a over a decade.

There is a decent to good launch.

Engines = the regs don't show any restrictions, or ANY special rules.

I last went there in about '87.

Boy did I screw up. I was thinking Wilderness, but looked up Meridian in the regs. Sorry about that.

Ok, Wilderness has 2 special rules;

---- Open dates from 'Last Sat. in April to Oct. 31st

Landlocked Salmon rules apply. Which mean;

In waters where landlocked salmon rules apply, salmon are regulated as trout.

Seasons, daily limits, and size restriction rules for Landlocked Salmon are identical to the rules for trout in the same water. The angler's combined catch of salmon and trout applies towards the trout limit. A Catch Record Card is not required to retrain salmon in these waters. ----

So, have fun.

I just got home from fishing, I stopped at Lake Wilderness and there is a sign at the beginning of the road to the launch that says no internal combustion engines. So ya gotta row. :)

unfortunately these lakes don't have the motor restrictions listed in the regs (at least I think they don't) and there is no "master list" so it's learn as you go. We'll try to include this info in the lake overviews when we know about it.
