Hello to my Fellow bass fishermen,

I have recently relocated from the east coast and love bass fishing. I am no pro but caught some nice bass back east. Since moving here I have tried to find some lakes that have good shoreline access. To my surprise the shoreline access is limited on WA lakes. I intend to buy a pontoon boat but I am saving up for that. It is weird I feel like I'm fishing for the first time again. I know nothing about WA bass and the lakes they live in. I'm looking for some friendly fellow fishermen who would like to mentor me in the ways of WA bass fishing. Advice is cool but some hands on fishing with with a local would rock. I will check here for responses but feel free to e-mail me at J_Fania@yahoo.com. A pre-emptive Thank you to anyone who responds with some assistance.

i forgot to ask, how familiar are you with smallmouth? because that's what you will catch most out of lake washington...except for kenmore.....

Welcome to WA and welcome to the board BassMan...

You'll find the guys here are very knowledgable and helpful. Like anything, you get out of this what you put into it.

Look forward to getting to know you. See you out on the lakes.

Jon

EdmondsBassMan WELCOME bro. Your in the right spot.
Read Bruce's Bassin' Essentials, pg.8, Washington Bass vs Georgia Bass. This has helped me to adjust from fishing the Florida Strain down in Cali. Now I will say some big, colorful baits will work around here, but it does need to be in the right situation.
Glad you found us and welcome to the family. Kick off your shoes and stay awhile.

Hey, welcome aboard! I'm sure you'll find a few new friends to go bassin' with. You know, Costco has a one person pontoon for under $300 that looks pretty good.

i just moved here last year so i am still learning about the frame of time when the largemouth bass spawn in washington state? i went on the vacation to ohio for a couple of weeks and i think i have missed the first wave of spawners a couple of weeks ago.

i am not even sure if it was first one or not. i have been trying to find a bedding bass this week but the bluegills are all over and making the beds.the largemouth bass must be in the post-spawn mode...not fully blown though? and please keep in mind that i am from olympia area because there are different climates throughout the state.

tight lines.

From what I can tell (here in seattle) the bass are done spawning. The gills and seeds might be finishing up too (full moon coming up here on the 30th - last spawn?) - I havn't seen them on the beds that I saw a few weeks ago.
